Summary: Outerknown is seeking to find a Director of E-Commerce who will be responsible for defining the direct-to-consumer strategy and solution architecture from initial ideas to implementation while ensuring the solutions align with and support the key business initiatives of the Outerknown site.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership – You will define, create and deliver the vision, business plan, roadmap, and key metric objectives for the expansion of e-commerce channel capabilities, partnering with other critical, supporting functions to ensure internal company-wide alignment. Leads a dynamic team across planning, site merchandising, and site experience.
- Site Operations – Leads the day-to-day activities of running an e-commerce business, including web store enhancements, merchandising/assortment plans, marketing/promotions, inventory management, and analytics.
- Direct day-to-day e-commerce business, including achieving top line sales/bottom line targets, overseeing key performance indicators (e.g., traffic, conversion, AOV) and optimizing P&L/budgets; monitor and provide tracking/reports, as needed
- Manage site refreshes and development, including optimizations, site content strategies, execution of seasonal launches and online promotions new features/enhancements and merchandising improvements (e.g., A/B testing, personalization) to maximize conversion
- Manage responsibility for site operations, long and short-term strategy, planning and implementation
- Omni-Channel Coordination Interacts with and coordinates multiple business functions to incorporate e-commerce activities and requirements into essential DTC business functions
- · Performance Marketing – Partners with Performance Marketing team on strategy (i.e. paid search, email, social, etc.). Responsible for digital merchandise and digital marketing coordination around key initiatives and product.
- · Analytical Acumen – Track and manage business KPIs with Planning & Marketing partner to achieve e-commerce channel growth goals including Net Revenue/Sales, Gross Margin, Traffic, Transactions, Units, AOV, Conversion, Repeat and New Visitors, product performance, promotion performance, etc.
