Summary: The Director of Ecommerce is responsible for the growth, profitability, technology and operations of digital commerce at Stance. The role is responsible for setting the strategy and roadmap for ecommerce, aligned with overall company objectives and targets. It plays a critical role in facilitating the continued growth of e-commerce and championing loyalty among the consumer base to support Stance’s role as the global premium staples brand
Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Lead a team consisting of merchandising, user experience, production, technology, optimization and operations
- Ensuring that the team is focused and on a strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives.
Driving Profitable Growth
- Ownership of Stance’s ecommerce growth strategy and execution; both maximizing current tactics and unlocking new opportunities
- Drive an annual operational plan and strategic plan, aligned with company goals and objectives
- Utilize optimization tactics to refine the online guest experience and drive revenue and profitability
Planning, Forecasting, Merchandising & Inventory Management
- Participate in demand planning to help allocate production resourcing needs
- Financial forecasting to set targets, budgets and incentives
Production & Product Management
- Responsible for creating a digital environment that both represents the Stance brand, and also provides a frictionless shopping experience
- Provides a superior user experience for the customer, including elements like a compelling visual presentation, easy navigation and an efficient shopping experience
- Product management of all features and functionality on Stance.com, including the subscription service
- Evaluating and prioritizing features and enhancements through the lens of driving future growth and profitability
Technology
- Responsible for the Ecommerce platform – including the storefront, the OMS, middleware layer and an ecosystem of 10-15 solution providers (payment processing, fraud management, ratings & reviews, content delivery, hosting, and more)
- Responsible for maintenance, programming and application development, including back-end integrations into the ERP, 3PL and CDP
Operations
- Responsible for the smooth flow of orders through all systems; achieving or improving upon a 99.8% accurate, on time order flow
- Oversee the contact center, which uses text, chat, email and phone to make sure our guests receive the best service possible; we call it “Keeping People Stoked”
- Establish and track to an agreed upon budget
