Role: Footwear Head of Design for Pro Skateboarding and Surf

Summary: Oversee the themes, colour, material and graphic direction for these categories. You will demonstrate your visionary ability to keep the brand moving forward by working with both Business Merchandisers and Product Designers and provide global inspiration, direction and designs each season. 

How You Will Make a Difference: 

1. Mentor and manage footwear designers in all aspects of the design process.
2. Travel for market research, build inspiration boards and set overall category design direction.
3. Promote cross functional work and maintain strong working relationships with footwear Developers, Merchandisers and Product Designers
4. Responsible for ensuring product success and category business strategy; interprets international/domestic concepts and trends as it relates to the market demands and company image.
5. Responsible for knowledge of cost components and ability to design that hit margin targets.
6. Fully responsible for identifying and executing opportunities for process improvement through their design team.
7. Responsible for presentation assets for design reviews.
8. Adhere to all calendar dates.
