Role: Management Accountant

Summary: Partnering with the Finance and Operations Director, the Management Accountant will help develop the financial strategy, ensure statutory compliance in Australia and New Zealand, meet corporate reporting and budget guidelines and be a crucial stakeholder in driving an efficient operation, including identifying and implementing cost savings where appropriate. 

Responsibilities:

Accounting Responsibilities

• Drive the accounting team responsible for the day-to-day accounting activities including:
  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable
  • Payroll processing
  • Asset and depreciation register
  • Cash flow management and reporting
• Drive the monthly close process and reporting to head office.
• Preparing company tax and BAS statements and other statutory filings with assistance of external partners where required

Budget and Forecasting

• Prepare monthly high-level financial reporting and forecast updates with the senior leadership team
• Be a key stakeholder in the annual budgeting process and monthly review and reforecasts
• Support product/ merchandise teams with financial analysis and margin planning

Projects

• Add accounting process expertise into business systems development
• Support extension of business operations into new markets
• From time to time, additional projects and duties will be assigned that are consistent with the position
