Role: Product Developer, Apparel
Brand: Quiksilver
Location: Huntington Beach, CA
Summary: In partnership with Design and Merchandising leadership, develop and bring to market the most well executed, innovative, and profitable ranges in the industry, managing apparel development from 2-D drawing to prototypes and samples. Covering off on regional needs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of products in the relevant categories, as well as drive new fabrications, techniques, and processes to remain on the leading edge of the apparel category
• Ensures product development is in accordance margin requirements and production calendar
• Acts as liaison between merchandising, design and production teams
• Work closely with designers in reviewing prototypes, and submits for approval for all categories from design concept to production.
• Understand cost build ups including yield, duties, and opportunities for value-engineering
• Maximize gross margin opportunities through leverage, product re-engineering, and sourcing strategy
• Review and vet costs prior to presentation to merchants, must be fact-based and in-line with macro trends
• Working with Tech Design and creative to have complete technical package to initiate development
• Work directly with the hub to ensure they understand the design requirements through daily communication.
• Work closely with production team to ensure that styles are executed properly in bulk production.
