Role: Product Manager – Watches
Brand: adidas (care of Nixon)
Location: Encinitas, CA
Summary: Be the centre of the licensing product team and the leader of the global assortment planning. S/he will collaborate closely with adidas brand, Nixon brand partners, designers and manufacturers, internal and external marketing and sales.
Responsibilities:
- Define the product positioning of adidas watches. Work closely with the brand team to translate the positioning of adidas into the watch category, ensuring that the adidas brand DNA stays true and clear and that within the watch market it is distinctive, original and premium. Position the product to connect with Creators and with the target adidas consumers and position it to delight.
- Manage multiple external design agencies to ensure that creative briefs are thoughtful, thorough and timely. Ensure that design work from the agencies is on trend, on budget and on time.
- Collaborate with the brand teams to ensure overall line planning and merchandising assortments are developed to meet business goals and synched with the sales teams’ needs and segmentation.
- Define and develop the product assortment mix (including pricing in collaboration with the brand and sales teams) and align with seasonal/annual/multi-year adidas initiatives where appropriate, including with regions and countries where important for success.
