Role: Senior Graphic Designer

Summary: We are looking for a talented Senior Designer with a demonstrable understanding of the brand’s history, aesthetic scope and unique language; You will hold knowledge and enthusiasm for the cultural pillars that the brand is proudly built on and marry it with exceptional 360° design thinking to help elevate the brand’s cultural storytelling and commercial strategies across all marketing platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptual capabilities and the confidence to communicate ideas across a diverse mix of marketing briefs including product and apparel, brick and mortar retail, events, food and beverage and anything in between

• Unwavering attention to design details, layout and typography whilst not being averse to flirting with an unwashed filbert or xerox machine.

• Confidence in Leading the creative studio in creating compelling photography and video-based assets to support seasonal storytelling

• A firm grasp of digital media and evolving online platforms, delivering digital assets that elevate product, promotions and other brand marketing activations.

• Minimum of 3 – 5 years experience as an art director or design lead preferably across a brand/ retail industry

• Experience working with and collaborating effectively with a broad range of internal departments, locally and globally, including the Sales team, Merchandisers, Photographers, Editors, eComm teams etc.

• Fluency across Adobe Creative Suite

• Time management and circus grade juggling skills to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines across varying platforms

• Possession of sharp wit, inventiveness, versatility and conceptual prowess all delivered with the courage of your convictions

This role reports directly to the Founder and Creative Director and is based at Deus Ex Machina Global HQ in Camperdown Sydney.
