Summary:

We are searching for a VP of Finance, a senior role within Rip Curl, reporting directly into our President of Rip Curl North America. The role’s key objective is to support the commercial and growth outcomes of the business, as well as ownership of financial reporting and integrity to the wider group. The role is located at our headquarters in San Clemente.

Your day to day responsibilities include;

• Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, management reports, and tax returns in accordance with company timelines
• Ensure the region maintains tax compliance with relevant regional requirements (including state-based revenue taxes in both the USA and Canada) and manage the annual audit process with company appointed auditors
• Maintain company registers with governmental filing requirements including local tax planning initiatives
• Manage the monthly reporting of financial results along with the forecast and budget process and preparation for submission
• Analyze forward indicators in the business, highlighting issues to management
• Manage regional credit risk and follow up bad debts, regional cash flows, optimizing interest returns while maximizing remittances back to Australia
• Directs all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to the general ledger, receivables, and payables
• Create and lead a competent and stable management team, able to face new challenges, who effectively execute required processes for both finance and administration
