Role: Web User Interface Designer

Summary: This person will help bring Boardriders outdoor action sports brands and products to life through elegant and simple online shopping journeys. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of experience using a combination of design sense, user feedback, quantitative insights, forward-thinking aesthetics, and industry best practices. This is an opportunity to partner with product managers, engineering, analytics, marketing and creative to own a large part of the user experience and grow your skills.

Responsibilities:

• Execute on all phases of the design process—from wireframing concepts and mocks to final hand-off to engineering and design QA
• Create responsive designs for multiple contexts and device types (desktop, mobile, tablet)
• Collaborate with other product managers and web developers to determine product specifications and deliver quality designs
• Own web application style guides, pattern libraries, and UX standards. Enforce industry best practices and consistency globally
• Ensure deliverables are detailed enough for implementation through a deep understanding of modern FED (e.g. dynamic content, checkout scenarios, form behavior)
• Perform design user acceptance testing for various projects in the development phase; maintain detailed project test log for IT
