Role: Women’s Junior Apparel Designer

Location: Culver City, CA
Summary: Outerknown seeks a Junior Apparel Designer to join our small but growing design team. The ideal candidate is a natural team player, organized, self-motivated, meticulous with detail and stays current with industry trends. This position reports directly to the Senior Designer and also supports the Director of Merchandising.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new product, styles, fabrics, trims
• Coordinate design comments with Senior Designer and Tech Designer
• Participate in fittings with Tech Designer and fit models from development protos through production cycle
• Maintain tech packs throughout design cycle
• Communicate daily with product development coordinator
• Work with calendar to complete each task within established time & action schedule
• Support Senior Designer on all categories, including but not limited to: sweaters, wovens, knits, outerwear, bottoms, and denim
