Hyperflex Greenprene
Brand: Hyperflex
Product: Greenprene Wetsuits
Key Features: Greenprene is formulated from deproteinized natural insulating foam along with other natural additives such as sugar cane, plant oils and oyster shells. The result is a sustainable Bio Based insulating foam that is ultra-soft, stretchy, durable and light weight.
Each wetsuit is hand wrapped with recycled paper. Recycled cardboard cores are used to help prevent compression marks from folding and when in storage. All hangtags on the wetsuits are printed on recycled paper using soy based inks.
Thoughts: Definitely an interesting addition to the neoprene wars. Tbh, I hadn’t even heard of Hyperflex until this morning but their suits look ok and the addition of Greenprene is fantastic as we inch closer towards non-petroleum wetsuits. Am only going off images right now, so can’t comment to heavily but the first thought – obviously – is how does Hyperflex Greenprene stack up against Patagonia Yulex (which we’ve reviewed several times)
