Key Features: Mickey, der….  The details put into the pieces when designing are very nicely (and subtly) done. Would have been easy to whore it out all over the joint.

The mouse turns 90 this year, so expect a shit ton of these collaborations and projects to see the light of day. This one tho, between Nixon and Mickey Mouse is one I am here for. No surf watches here just nice, smarter timepieces on offer.

Given Nixon already have a partnership with Disney (see Star Wars) it was probably a no-brainer to do something with Mickey. And while it would have been pretty easy to whore the mouse out in a wild way, I think lead designer Joe B delivered a nice balance between in your face and subtle details.

Even the CMKY yardage print is neat – yeah it’s bright AF, but it’s still pleasant enough to get away with. Just don’t go mixing up a whole bunch of colors while rocking a CMYK piece.
