The Banks Journal Store in Hawaii is nestled among the ancient dive bars, chic eateries, art galleries and back alleys of Hawaii’s historic Chinatown neighborhood. And on Sunday, November 3rd, Banks Journal opened the doors to their store that is infused with a unique blend of Japanese and Australian upbringings.
“Much like our Los Angeles flagship store, located in the Arts District of Downtown LA, we have welcomed the opportunity to be a part of the gritty streets and rich heritage that Honolulu’s Chinatown offers,” says Banks Journal co-founder, Rama McCabe. “With this 2nd flagship location, we endeavor to create a haven of creativity and inclusiveness that adds to the vibrant history and cultural energy that flows through Hawaii.”
“With our close ties to Japan, Hawaii has always felt like the crossroads where we’d meet local and visiting friends of the Pacific. It only makes sense to set up shop here and welcome all the cultures and people that pass through this special island.”
Pop into the Banks Journal Store in Hawaii, you can find it at 1121 Nuuanu Ave. Open daily between 11am and 6pm.
