Vault Vintage Surfwear
Brand: Vault Vintage Surfwear
What You Need to Know: Vault Vintage sell, as you’ve probably figured out, vintage surfwear. They thrift around the old stores, maybe even getting them old salty dogs, and probably some other means I’m unaware of. This is vintage surfwear from the 80’s and 90’s with some 70’s sprinkled in every now and again – but mainly from late 80’s, 90’s.
All gear is pre-loved and most likely come with some damage, sun wear, and general wear and tear, remember it’s called vintage for a reason. Australian wide shipping (sorry US), and the biggest catch I see is they aren’t responsible if the gear you buy gets lost during postal transit – meaning that cash will go with it. Buy smart, but be aware shit might go south…
Our Thoughts: Am thoroughly in love with the majority of the surfwear I’m seeing on the site, but that’s probably more to do with my plus 40 and most of the gear is stuff I grew up loving/wanting/wearing. Nostalgia is helluva drug. For those who are just doing the 90’s trend thing for the first time, this is a honey pot of many winning pieces. Dive deep and buy up big, you’ll have a ball. Although the one thing I’m yet to see on any of these vintage surfwear sites is the classic Kuta Lines Streaky, find them and you’re doing ya job 😉
It’s interesting to see something like this take off, and do well though. Never really thought vintage surfwear would be a thing that got traction, let alone sold at such a mark up (saw one jumper selling for $180!). Fun to check out tho, and if you’d like to take a peek head over to Vault Vintage (or hit their IG). Or if you’re down south WA, check out https://www.instagram.com/recycledsurfwear/
