Dragon Advertising Campaigns 1993-1999

Dragon Advertising Campaigns

This isn’t surfcore2001, nor is it SurfAds, both IG accounts you should be following if you’re not already. This is a throwback to Dragon Advertising Campaigns that ran in the 90’s. I found them while sniffing around Behance (a trove of amazing content!), it’s from Scott Sorensen’s account who was the CD back then.

I remember these and thinking how rad they were. especially the sword ones and the shadow/silhouette ones. Are they better then the ad campaigns we see today? Subjectivity at it’s best there, but I think they’re up there with what we see today anyway. Beyond that, I posted these just as a quick history run of some great campaigns from a brand, who at the time, was absolutely ruling and was the hottest shades on the market (Arnet was probably top seller, and Electric hadn’t launched yet). Kinda funny to think Dragon is well over 20 years old…

Read an interview with Scott Sorensen over at Malakye about being Marketing Director for Dragon. No mention of these Dragon Advertising Campaigns tho, the interview is more recent.
