MISFIT SHAPES releases 'WELCOME TO EARTH'

Brand: MISFIT SHAPES
Season: Winter ’20 – Welcome to Earth
Available Now? Yes, you can buy it right now

MISFIT SHAPES Said:

Welcome to Earth… it’s weird. Launched in the height of the COVID-19 Crisis, W2 explores the new concept of ‘isolation’. Not something we love, but something that confronts almost every human being on planet Earth right now.

The Collection also includes ‘REAL LIFE’ – a BELOVED celebrity stills series by NYC photojournalist Banjo McLachlan, who additionally captured the Campaign on a deserted beach set before the crisis hit pandemic status.

‘Banjo McLachlan is a New York based photojournalist who has been taking pictures of celebrities since he was sixteen. Starting out in his hometown of Sydney, he relocated to New York City in 2013 and has travelled the world taking photographs ever since’.

Our Thoughts:

MISFIT Shapes are an interesting brand. Born out of the store, of which the name I’ve forgotten, a while ago and first came boards and then apparel.

They’ve gone and created a very distinct look and feel that is unique to the current surf wear look at the moment. MISFIT Shapes is one brand that ‘gets it’ when understanding what the current surf culture landscape looks like to the young’uns who we all seem to be thirsty to market to…

It’s Surf. But it’s different and avoids that same/same stuff we’ve seen in the industry for the last decade. I recommend having a deeper a look at what MISFIT are putting out, might not be for everyone but if you know the saying there…
